Web 2.0 PowerPoints and rain at last

For those interested in how teacher librarians and indeed, all librarians can exploit the various tools available in Web 2.0, there are a number of PowerPoint presentations available from the recent Internet Librarian conference. The presentations are quite large so you need a good broadband connection and even with that you need to be patient. Despite this, there’s a lot to be learned from these presentations. I don’t see Web 2.0 as a passing fad, so as teacher librarians and TL educators, we need to be looking seriously and doing some lateral thinking about how to use blogs, wikis, Facebook etc.

It has rained in Wagga Wagga! For those of you living in parts of the world where rain is common, this statement may seem bewildering but there is a serious drought in this part of Australia and it has not rained here for weeks. It’s probably too late for farmers here but it is welcome nevertheless.
